About Me
Manu Brazo is a saxophonist who is transforming the perception of classical music in the 21st century. His fresh and creative approach has made him a prominent figure on social media, where he has accumulated millions of views and nearly 100,000 followers. He is also the founder of AprendeSaxofonOnline.com, an educational platform through which he has helped hundreds of saxophonists improve their technique around the world.
Thanks to his unique style, full of sensitivity, character, and virtuosity, Manu has brought his music to iconic venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Royal Opera House, and St. Martin-in-the-Fields, among many others. He has also performed in Turkey, in venues such as the Presidential Hall in Ankara and the Atatürk Kongre Kültür Merkezi in Bursa, and in Spain, at venues such as the Manuel de Falla Auditorium and the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville.
His presence has been requested at prestigious events such as the Royal Gala Dinner at the Painted Hall in Greenwich, attended by royalty, and the farewell gala for the director of the Royal College of Music, organized by the ABRSM in London. He has also opened for such notable concerts as the official Downton Abbey show and has opened for the legendary Sir Cliff Richard.


In 2018, he was selected as a BBC Introducing Artist, marking a turning point in his career, with appearances on BBC Radio and Classic FM. That same year, he made his BBC Proms debut under the direction of Marin Alsop, alongside the Britten-Pears Orchestra at the Snape Maltings Auditorium.
Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, including the Prince's Prize Audience Award from The Musicians Company (2022), and has also been recognized by programs such as the PDGYA from Making Music (2019). He has also been supported by foundations such as the Drake Calleja Trust, The Tillet Trust, the Concordia Foundation, and Talent Unlimited. He has won competitions such as the Guildford Concerto Competition, the Croydon Concerto Competition, and the RCM Saxophone Competition.
As a soloist, he has collaborated with orchestras such as the City of Southampton Orchestra, the Orquesta Ciudad de Almería, the Orquesta Bética de Cámara, the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, among many others, and has participated in festivals such as the Tetbury Music Festival, Perth Festival of the Arts, Newbury Spring Festival and the Nights in the Gardens of the Real Alcázar of Seville.
In 2020, she released her debut EP, SOLO DIALOGUE, which received airplay on radio stations such as BBC Radio 3, Classic FM, and Scala Radio. Her debut full-length album, FOLK-LORE (2021), recorded with pianist Pepe Fernández under her own label Vario Studio, fuses classical and popular music with flamenco touches and jazz influences.
In 2023, he released his second album, FANTASIA, recorded in Milan with pianist Bryan Evans, a Royal College of Music figure and director of Diva Opera. He has also collaborated with composer José Elizondo, recording works such as The Dawn of Hope and Limoncello, and will premiere The Legend of the Noble Knight, a work written especially for him, in November 2024.
Manu completed his training at the Royal College of Music in London, where he earned both the Artist Diploma and the Master in Performance with top marks under the direction of Kyle Horch. He previously trained at the Manuel Castillo Conservatory of Music in Seville with Juan Jiménez, and at the Francisco Guerrero Professional Conservatory with Alfonso Romero.
